It's been a while since I attempted this kind of picture with it's vaguely comic book style inking and colouring so I thought I'd give it a go.
Well, not quite. In truth I bought some nice drawing pens and wanted to give them a test run by drawing a face. That turned out alright but needed colour so I decided to colour it with some noce flat colours. I got carried away with the colouring so the inking looked terrible (it wasn't great to start with) by comparison so I re inked most of it digitally adding big lumps of black.
So by a fairly unusual route and with no planning as such I ended up with this.
Thanks - the hair I think is a little hit and miss depending on what you like. If swirls are your thing then there's more chance of you liking it - if not it's just swirls.
DeviantART and the martial arts action film, Ninja Assassin, have teamed up to allow ALL deviants the ability to install Journal Skins! Select an awesome Ninja Assassin skin or choose the skin of your choice.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Tom
I had to put something on the cheek - it looked empty without it (which is technically how a cheek should be but still...).
Happy accidents - far better than their not so happy counterparts.
